Harmony Gold: Output to rise 3% for quarter
July 3, 2009

By Bloomberg

Harmony Gold Mining's fiscal fourth-quarter output probably rose 3 percent from 349 801 ounces in the third quarter, the gold producer said on Wednesday. The rand cost had increased 4.5 percent from R171 361 a kilogram in the March quarter, it said. Chief executive Graham Briggs plans to expand output to take advantage of gold prices that have gained to about $945 an ounce (R235 611 a kilogram). Harmony fell 5.1 percent to R75 yesterday, cutting its market value to just less than R32 billion. - Bloomberg
