Sport; World Cup to promote Africa  Comments

The African Union's planning and co-ordination agency for the New Partnership for Africa's Development, in partnership with PR Africa International, had taken the World Cup as the point of departure for marketing the African continent, agency chief executive Ibrahim Mayaki said yesterday.


He said through the Best of Africa - an initiative intended to market the continent - the African Union had made a commitment to make the World Cup an event for the continent rather than only a South African one. - Lucky Biyase
