World shopping tour up for grabs  Comments

A Paris website has launched a competition offering the winner a one-month tour of seven world cities, a shopping budget of €10 000 (R111 000), business class travel and luxury rooms, it emerged yesterday.

The winner of what Letsbuyit.com calls the Second Best Job in the World will keep a blog, find bargains, and compare shopping cultures in Berlin, Hong Kong, London, Milan, New York, Paris and Tokyo.


In May, Briton Ben Southall won a Best Job in the World competition at a tourism agency in Australia to be a caretaker on an idyllic island.

Candidates have until next month to submit a CV and video explaining their suitability for the one-month job as "international shopping consultant", which includes a €5 000 salary. - Sapa-AFP
