Alleged Ponzi mastermind flees home  Comments
November 11, 2009

Alleged Ponzi scheme mastermind Barry Tannenbaum is alleged to have fled his home in Sydney, Australia, SABC news reported on Wednesday.

Tannebaum's Johannesburg based attorney Darryl Ackerman said the man, accused of fleecing investors of R12.5 billion, left his home because he was concerned for his safety and that of his family.

Ackerman said his client relocated to what he perceived to be a safer location.

Last month, South African authorities issued an arrest warrant for Tannenbaum and his Swiss-based associate Dean Rees over the Ponzi scheme. - Sapa

Run my boy! Can you blame everybody for wanting your hide! Your poor wife and children, they do not deserve this. We look forward to welcoming you back to South Africa, we have a wonderful little cell waiting for you. Don't worry about getting aids, we will make sure you have a shower every day.
