The government needs more money to squanter...klaar. Nationalising the mines is the BEST IDEOLOGY ever if we had good, reliable, NON-GREEDY, self sacrifising Afrikan leaders whose real purpose was to ensure that Afrikans are assisted in building their lives but NO NO NO, this money will be buying more cars, hosting parties while the majority of our people spiral further down in the abyss of poverty.

The government is already TAXING the mines. That is how the government gets MONEY to pay for BMW 7-series cars and hotel parties, Malema...
It makes no sense for the government to own mines, as they would simply then be saddled with the risk, with only the possible upside of reaping a little bit more revenue than what they already get in tax from the mines. I thought any fool could understand that, but clearly some fool are more equal than others...

It is not economically fair that the private sector will run and operate the mines 100%, but only get a 40% stake out of it. What will the government's input be then? Will they only be benefiting and not putting any effort. Come on guys, come up with another management strategy for this...

The ANC has made a spectacular mess of running the country, they will do the same to the mines... they want to take anything that work steal the money and break it ... I don’t believe Cosato is as stupid as Malema, they will realise without mineworkers their monthly income will be nil ... I think Dubious Malema obvious and sad lack of intellect is now seriously starting to lose its comic appeal

Pretty rich coming from someone that owns vast shares in our Mining Companies already. I suppose he needs a new round of "partnerships" to ensure all his buddies get shares this time around. Someone must make an audit of Malema's holdings as it will surely make the Sunday papers.
Can you imagine how share prices are going to drop if Investors get wind of our Nationalisation of our Mines. The PIC will be losing money hand over fist as their holdings in shares starts to plummet. You must remember that every person working for Government there are shares held by the PIC for them. As of March 2009 this value was set at R739.7Billion and given the fact that the Market has run up around 40% that value is now more than a Trillion Rand. Fancy that value being flushed down the the toilet from Malema rhetoric. The fool must get a life and catch a wake up as SA is not the only emerging market to invest in.
And if anyone in Government loses out on their pensions, feel free to go ask Malema for a handout as he has lots of shares he chooses not to say anything about.

Malema, the reason your government needs to make extra income is because your ANC cronies are spending all the country's maney on cars, meetings, parties, and just plain old lining of their personal pockets.
Please catch a wake up!

If you know poverty then you will heed to what Malema is saying. I believe the people who are commenting on this issue are not directly affected by poverty and unemployment because they can afford internet, newspaper and other media sources. They are hypocrites they think for themselves. I'll definitely support the idea.

Ok so as a partner with 40% stake and am expected to run the mines 100% so my partner gets 60% of the cut??? Um, does logic form part of the ANC's policies? Before you know it some top brass will have family members suddenly starting business that cater to mines and before long they will be winning tenders left right and center, even down to providing the globes for the safety hat lights, watch this space!

Yawn... He says "We are going to do this in partnership with the private sector but with us being the majority". We? Us? Since when is Malema the government?
Gimme a break.
