Johannesburg - South Africa's producer price inflation stood at -4.1 percent year-on-year in June from -3.0 percent in May, Statistics South Africa said on Thursday.
On a monthly basis PPI, representing domestic output, was 1.5 percent compared with -1.1 percent in May.
Imported commodities inflation stood at -17.9 percent year-on-year in June compared with -16.7 percent the month before, while exported commodities inflation was at -9.7 percent year-on-year from -6.0 percent previously.
Economists polled by Reuters last week forecast that annual PPI would come in at -3.8 percent and quicken to 1.8 percent on a monthly basis. - Reuters
